How should we combat the huge recent rise in opioid abuse? What should our emphasis be? Two Cedarville University faculty members went head-to-head last Monday evening in a public debate, attended by over 100 undergrad and graduate students.

Dr. Marty Eng (Assoc. Prof. of Pharmacy Practice) argued we should emphasize treatment and rehabilitation for addicts.
Dr. Marc Clauson (Prof. of History and Law) argued we should focus on law enforcement and incarceration, especially for sellers.
The debate moderator was Dr. Dennis Sullivan (Director, Center for Bioethics).
